Her father, Aaron, used to play as an American football tight end for the Boston-based club, New England Patriots. Initially, he joined the University of Connecticut football team, however, he later decided to play for the University of Florida under head coach, Urban Meyer at the University of Florida.
After finishing up with college football in 2019, Avielle’s father decided to let go of his senior career and enter the draft. It was in the 2010 NFL Draft when he was picked by New England Patriots in the fourth round (113th overall).

The duo then enrolled at the same high school and by 2007, they started dating. Nevertheless, the couple had to endure a lot of hardship after Aaron moved to a different college. Eventually, they broke up and went their separate ways.

Considered one of the rising tight ends in the football world, Aaron’s career came to a halt in June 2013, after he was charged with the first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd, another football player who was dating Shayanna’s sister.
Immediately after he was convicted Patriots released him. In addition, after the court procedure, he was found guilty of murdering Lloyd and given life imprisonment. Apart from this, he was also charged with the 2012 Boston double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
From 2013 to up until his death, Aaron’s fiance Shayanna always stood by his side and attended almost all the court proceedings.

On April 19th, 2017, just five days after the jury acquitted him of the double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, he was found hanging in his bed by correction officers.
The authorities rushed him to the nearest Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts but unfortunately, doctors pronounced him dead.

From their relationship, Shayanna and Dino became the proud parents of one daughter named Giselle, born in 2018. Furthermore, Avielle also has one step-sibling named Mia Guilmette, whom her step-father Dino shares from his previous relationship.
