Bambi Swayze is mostly known for being the sister of popular late American actor, dancer, and singer Patrick Swayze. He was widely known for playing in the movie Dirty Dancing for which he received many awards and nominations.

Swayze is also famous on her own as she has played in many movies and TV series although she hasn’t been as active in her acting career as she used to be. Aside from being an actress, Bambi is also a dancer, ballet dancer, yoga instructor, and more.

Bambi Swayze’s Early Life: Is she adopted? Who are her biological parents?

She was born in 1966 in Los Angeles, California, and is currently 56 years old. Swayze is the adopted daughter of Patsy Yvonne Helen Swayze and Jesse Wayne Swayze. Bambi’s father was an engineering draftsman whereas her mother was a choreographer, dancer, and dance instructor.

Unfortunately, Swayze’s parents are no longer with us. Jesse died in 1992 due to excessive drinking. On the other hand, her mother died not so long ago in 2013 due to a stroke. Patsy passed away at her home in Simi Valley. We can say, the loss of her parents must have been hard on her.

Bambi isn’t the only child of Jesse and Patsy. Swayze had four children: Vickie Lynn Swayze, Don Swayze, Sean Kyle Swayze, and Patrick Swayze. Unfortunately, her sister Vickie and brother Patrick have passed away.

Talking about her education, Patrick’s sister went to Royal High School to complete her secondary education whereas her brother completed his high school at Waltrip High School. After high school, Patrick went to San Jacinto College to complete his higher education.

According to some sources, Bambi has Asian ancestry. As for her nationality, Swayze has American citizenship.

Patrick’s sister hasn’t shared much about her biological parents or her grandparents with the media. On the other hand, Patrick was the grandson of Jesse Elijah Swayze and Mamie Bell/Belle Johnson. From his mother’s side, he was the grandchild of Victor Elliott/Elliot Karnes and  Gladys Mae/May Snell.

Death Of Bambi Swayze’s Sister

As mentioned earlier, a few of her siblings died, including Vickie. Sadly, she passed away in 1994 and was reportedly 45 years old.

The cause of her death was suicide. Unfortunately, the reason behind her decision to take her life has not been known. We hope that the family recovered from this tragic event although they must have suffered painfully during that time.

Patrick Swayze Death

After Bambi’s sister died, Swayze suffered from another loss and this time it was her brother, Patrick. Swayze’s brother died on 14th September 2009, at his home in Los Angeles. He was 57 years old at the time of his death.

Patrick was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008 and was given six months to live. Despite being given six months, Bambi’s brother fought for almost 20 months before passing away. He called himself ‘Miracle Dude’ as he survived for more than six months.

In an interview he said,

“How do you nurture a positive attitude when all the statistics say you’re a dead man? You go to work.”

Patrick further added,

“There is probably that little bird that flies through your insides and says, ‘I sure would like to make a mark in life. I’ve made a pretty decent mark so far, nothing to scoff at. But it does make you think: Wait a minute. There’s more I want to do. Lots more. Get on with it.”

Patrick’s last words were ‘I love you’ which he said to his beautiful wife, Lisa Niemi.

What Does Bambi Swayze Do For a Living?

She is a dancing teacher, ballet dancer, yoga instructor, and choreographer by profession, although Bambi is also mostly known for being an actress.

In 1990, Swayze debuted her acting career in the movie, The Other Side where she played the character of a dancer. She received a very good response from the viewers for her performance.

Besides that, Bambi has played in five more movies including Lethal Ninja in 1991, Stomping At The Savoy in 1992, In Search of Dr. Seuss, and One Last Dance.

Her most recent play was in a video Reijoku No Yakata where she played to voice role of a character named Tsugumi Shiro ouch.

Bambi Swayze’s Marriage: Her Husband Severe’s Accusations

Patrick’s sister was previously married to a guy named Don Franzen. The former couple walked down the aisle in 1987. The lovebirds were happy for many years before separating from each other.

Unfortunately, Bambi and Don got separated in 2016 after being together for 29 years. The separation wasn’t as pleasant as most people would like it to be.

Don made a pretty huge accusation against her by saying, Bambi is a serial killer and an alcoholic. He said that she has a,

 “long history of abuse of alcohol and mental instability”

Aside from the accusation, Don also revealed that Swayze has been arrested a few times including for shoplifting and DUI.

Moreover, Don also mentioned that he suffered heavily because of his ex-wife, Bambi. He apparently had a debt of $80,000 thanks to her for which the court ordered her to pay $2,500 a month in the divorce settlement.

The exes didn’t have any kids between them.

Talking about her net worth, Swayze is estimated to be worth somewhere between a few hundred thousand. We assume that she earned most of her wealth through her roles in various movies.

On the other hand, Patrick was estimated to be worth $40 million at the time of his death. He earned most of his money thanks to his work in many successful movies and TV series.
