Brian Fichera is a writer, producer, and cameraman for NBC news. Aside from his career, Fichera is widely recognized as the husband of American television meteorologist Dylan Dreyer. Brian and his wife Dylan met while both working at the WHDH television station in Boston.

Brian used to collect birds and talk to bees with his father when he was a kid. Fichera also stated on Instagram, that his father used to make him collateral to obtain baseball game tickets. Fichera is of American nationality and of White Caucasian ethnicity.

Brian met his future wife at the  WHDH television station in Boston where she was working there as a Meteorologist. He was appointed there as a camera operator one year after Dylan started her job.

Dylan apparently mistook Brian’s name for Tom, so calling each other the incorrect name quickly became an inside joke between the two of them. This sparked the romance between the two and the duo started hanging out with each other at their office and restaurants.

It was at the Jammy Jam party organized at Brian’s house that Dylan realized she fell head over heels for Brian.

He Proposed to Dreyer at His Parents’ House

After hanging out with each other for a year, Brian and her then-girlfriend Dylan got engaged in July 2011 on the front porch of his parent’s house in Easton, Massachusetts. The scenes at the place were no less than a movie.

The place was decorated with roses and two glasses of champagne. Dylan later mentioned that she already knew about the proposal after seeing the roses and champagne. Dreyer then proceeded to stroll through the house, where she spotted her family and friends preparing to party in the backyard.

Calvin Bradley Fichera was the couple’s firstborn. He was born on 17th December 2016. A baby shower program was also held at the  Manhattan’s Hunt & Fish Club, with Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Tamron Hall, Savannah Guthrie, Stephanie Ruhle, and Jenna Bush Hager all in attendance.

The couple welcomed their second child, their second son Oliver George, in early January of 2020. “All I do is stare at him,” Dylan said while calling into the Today show the day after giving birth.

The couple’s third baby, Russell “Rusty” James Fichera was born on September 29, 2021. The couple wanted to have a baby girl.

Their third son Rusty’s name is a tribute to both Dylan and Brian’s fathers, according to Today. Russell is the paternal grandfather’s name on his father’s side, while James is Russell’s maternal grandfather’s name. The child was born six weeks early.

The NBC meteorologist struggled with Secondary infertility during her second pregnancy. Dylan announced that she suffered a miscarriage in the process of conceiving a second child.

After a long period of infertility, the Today show host and meteorologist announced that she is expecting her second child after overcoming secondary infertility.
