Tia gave birth to her daughter Cairo Tiahna Hardrict on 5th May 2018 at 10:29 am weighing 6 pounds and 4 Oz 19.8 inches. She is the daughter of Tia and Cory Hardrict and the grandchild of Darlene Mowry and Timothy Mowry.

When Cairo turned 1 month old her mother revealed the meaning of her name. The 44-year-old Tia said, “It basically means victorious.”

The actress further added, explaining her middle name, stating,

 My husband was in the air, flying. He always feels like he’s closer to his mother when he’s up in the air. He said when he was flying, he saw the letters A, I, R, in the sky. He said he wanted the baby’s name to have those letters. Tiahna is spelled T-I-A-H-N-A so it has Tia in there.

She also added, “Tiahna actually means follower of Christ. Also, Tiahna is one of the first African princesses so she’s our little princess here!”

Yes, the star kid has one elder brother Cree Taylor who is now 10 years old (born June 28, 2011). Like Cairo, her big brother also got famous while he was still inside his mother’s womb. In 1999, the actor made his appearance in two TV projects, Never Been Kissed, and Once and Again. A year later, in 2000, his acting credits were Pacific Blue, City of Angels, and Chicago Hope.

Cory’s other acting credits include Law & Order, ER, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, CSI: NY, NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and many others.

Cairo’s father Cory was an ordinary person when he first met his wife Tia. At the time, he used to work at K-Mart on the graveyard shift doing security.

It was in the late 1990s when the beautiful couple first came across. Cory was at the bus stop and coincidentally Tia and her twin sister Tamera were also there. The sister duo saw him waiting, and they asked to give him a ride. After the ride, Tony became good friends with Tia and his sister.

Back in Jan 2015, in an interview with Global Grind, the actor disclosed how their friendship started. He said, “I was waiting [at] a bus stop … Her sister and her drove by, they saw me waiting and asked to give me a ride. They gave me a ride, and we were friends ever since.”

Their Dating Life

After their first meeting, they went out a couple of times but didn’t start dating yet. As per sources, Tia and her now husband Cory took their relationship to another level in 2001. While they were in a relationship, the couple decided on not to indulge in any type of sexual activity. Likewise, they even didn’t go on a one-on-one date.

“I just held out. We weren’t physical, we didn’t do anything for a while to make sure this was something special and this was something real,”

After staying in a healthy relationship for six years, Cory Hardrict and his then-fiance Tia Mowry-Hardrict got engaged on Dec 25, 2006.

Before Cairo’s parents started dating, her father Cory was broke. The actor only had a studio apartment with no furniture and just slept in the corner for almost two years, when he moved to L.A. In an interview with Quick Fix, he said, “I was dirt poor, I didn’t have anything.”

Although Cory was financially weak, Hardrict’s mom Tia always supported him. Not only that but she even appreciated everything that he had.
