Dreama Perry Denver is the widow of late actor Bob Denver. She was married to the famous Giglian’s Island star for over 25 years before Bob’s demise in 2005. Denver was born in West Virginia, the United States on May 23, 1950. She was born Dreama Diane Perry. She is an American by nationality and belongs to the White ethnicity.

Her Married Life with Bob Denver

Dreama became the fourth wife of late actor Bob Denver on March 26, 1979, according to IMDb. However, Dreama once stated publicly that she was married to Bob for 28 years that making their wedding date fall around 1977. She and Bob started dating after they got closer during the play they were cast in, Play It Again, Sam, and dated for around two years before tying the knot.

Before Dreama, Bob was married three times to Maggie Ryan, Jean Webber, and Carole Abrahams respectively. Bob married Maggie in 1960 and divorced in 1966. After that, he tied the knot with Jean Webber in 1967 and remained married for a couple of years until 1970.

After his second divorce, Bob exchanged vows with Carole Abrahams in 1972, however, his third marriage didn’t last more than a couple of years as well. Bob and Carole divorced in 1975.

Dreama Perry Denver Mothered a Child with Her Late Husband

Dreama lived a happily married life with her late husband, Bob for nearly three decades and she mothered a son with her late husband in her long-standing conjugal life. The former pair gave birth to a son named Colin Osborne Denver. As per IMDb, Colin was born on January 11, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California.

Unfortunately, Dreama’s son was diagnosed with severe autism in his childhood. Patrick was born on November 11, 1960, Megan was born on June 26, 1963, and Emily was born on September 13, 1972. Dreama’s husband, Bob Denver died on September 2, 2005, at the age of 70. He passed away at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. As reported, Bob was a heavy smoker which eventually caused him cancer. He had received treatment for cancer and in 2005, he underwent heart bypass surgery.

He died of complications following his throat cancer surgery. His wife Dreama and his children were by his side when he took his last breath. Dreama released a statement after his death that read: “He was my everything and I will love him forever.”

Dreama has shared a number of posts on her social media remembering her late husband. On September 2, 2020, on the occasion of Bob’s 15th death anniversary, she shared a couple of photos of her and her late husband writing “15 years without you” with a broken-heart emoji in the caption. Her Diagnosis with Breast Cancer

Not many are aware that Dreama Perry has battled breast cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease in 2015, however, she didn’t talk about her diagnosis publicly. Denver said she had to undergo several phases of treatment without her partner. “That was really tough and I wanted to get through it.”

She had only revealed her diagnosis to her close friends, and one of them was Dawn Wells, famous for her portrayal of Mary Ann Summers on Gilligan’s Island. Wells had suggested a doctor for the diagnosis and treatment of her cancer which ultimately saved her life. Denver said,

“I was actually diagnosed by a doctor in Flint, Michigan, I had gone up there in particular, Dawn Wells sent me up there, she saved my life she was such a wonderful friend.”

Her Career in Acting – Worked with Her Husband at the Starting of Her Career

Dreama is a very talented actress besides being a wonderful wife and a mother. She is famous for her performance on Scamps and The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan’s Island. However, for Dreama the turning point was when she worked opposite her future husband Bob in Play It Again, Sam in the ’70s.
