Dreama’s husband, Bob Denver died on September 2, 2005, at the age of 70. He passed away at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. As reported, Bob was a heavy smoker which eventually caused him cancer. He had received treatment for cancer and in 2005, he underwent heart bypass surgery.
He died of complications following his throat cancer surgery. His wife Dreama and his children were by his side when he took his last breath. Dreama released a statement after his death that read: “He was my everything and I will love him forever.”

Not many are aware that Dreama Perry has battled breast cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease in 2015, however, she didn’t talk about her diagnosis publicly. Denver said she had to undergo several phases of treatment without her partner. “That was really tough and I wanted to get through it.”
She had only revealed her diagnosis to her close friends, and one of them was Dawn Wells, famous for her portrayal of Mary Ann Summers on Gilligan’s Island. Wells had suggested a doctor for the diagnosis and treatment of her cancer which ultimately saved her life. Denver said,
“I was actually diagnosed by a doctor in Flint, Michigan, I had gone up there in particular, Dawn Wells sent me up there, she saved my life she was such a wonderful friend.”
