Exodus Tyson is the daughter of the unbeatable boxer, Mike Tyson and his former girlfriend Sol Xochitl. Although Mike has an established career, his personal life isn’t that stable.
His youngest daughter with his ex-girlfriend Sol is no longer in this world. His daughter’s death was the worst nightmare that Mike thought he would have. Tragically, Exodus didn’t even live her life to the fullest.

The late star kid was born in March 2005. Talking about her ethnical background, from her mother’s side, she had Mexican ancestry, and paternal wise she was of Jamaican descent.

Her father Mike has disclosed everything in his biography, Undisputed Truth, that when Exodus was born he had no money. All of his money was spent when he had to pay a huge amount of fine to the person whose car got damaged before Tyson’s little daughter’s birth.
The boxer even asked one of his friends to find him a match so that he can make quick money from it. Unfortunately, this time the Kid Dynamite lost against the six-foot-six inches tall Kevin McBride from Ireland. He quit the match before the seventh round started. Eventually, it was the last fight for Exodus’s father, as he retired soon after that.
Know Something About Her Mother
Tyson’s mother Sol Xochitl was a fitness Freak. Mike has written in one of his books stating when he and assistant Darryl were working out in a fifteen-pound medicine ball she would often join them. Similarly, when the boxer got tired after throwing the ball two hundred fifty times, Xochitl kept going and didn’t take a break.
Mike wrote in his book, “This ninety-pound Mexican chick must have done five hundred throws. She wore our asses down.”
Furthermore, he also added, “She kept her house immaculate and she did a lot of stuff with me. Was a fitness freak, so when I’d work out and go run, she’d run with me. I’d run five miles, she’d run ten. She’d always one-up me.”
Exodus Tyson Shares Multiple Siblings
Including her biological brother and other half-siblings, Exodus has seven siblings in total. Her father Mike has seven children including Exodus from two different marriages and two relationships.
She has one biological sibling named Miguel Tyson. The first daughter Mikey Lorna was born to Mike and his previous partner Kimberly Scarborough. Exodus’ Tragic Passing: What was her cause of death?
It was back in 2009 when the dreaded incident occurred. The boxer’s daughter Exodus caught herself in a treadmill cord while she was playing alone in her Phoenix home. Furthermore, the tragic incident happened when she was only 4 years old.
The late star kid’s death was also featured in the two-part TV documentary series, Mike Tyson: The Knockout.
Her Brother Miguel Leon Found His Sister Struggling With Trademill Cord’s
The first one who found Exodus strangling in the treadmill cord was her big brother, Miguel, according to ABC News. After seeing that, he immediately called his mother Sol Xochitl who was busy cleaning the other room. Later, when Sol saw her daughter in distress, without any second thought she called 911, took Exodus off the cord, and tried to do CPR.

Besides, Xochitl even thought Exodus had been electrocuted when she was unresponsive. Soon after, the firefighter and police arrived, and they took her to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, but sadly she lost her life at 11:45 a.m.
Meanwhile, her father Mike, at the time, was in Las Vegas but flew out to his residence soon after he got the news. The boxer then heard they had already taken her to the hospital and he rushed there but to no avail. When he arrived at the health center, Exodus was struggling with her life before passing away.
The Death Was Later Confirmed As An Accident By The Investigator
When the investigation was going on the Police Sgt. Andy Hill described the demise of little girl Exodus Tyson as,
“Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it.”
Similarly, Phoenix Police also stated it was an accident. Later, the head of the Tyson family Mike issued condolence for his late daughter Exodus. His statement was,
The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time. There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus.
The media and public later said the death was preventable and
- issued a reminder about treadmill safety.
Mike Has Talked About His First Instinct After He Heard The News About His Daughter’s Death
In an interview with Oprah, he said his first reaction was a lot of rage. The incident was so severe that he didn’t even think in his wildest dream. Similarly, when he appeared in an interview on HBO’s Real Sports he recalled that the news led him to grab his gun and “go crazy.”
Furthermore, he added, his mind was blank at the time and he didn’t know who he will hurt. But, according to him, it was the only thing he could think of at that moment.

To this day, the boxer chokes up when he starts talking about his daughter. Similarly, the former boxer even said that he started taking drugs as he needed to feel high to get through that agony.
How did Her Parents Move On From her Tragic Death?
After the sudden incident, her mother Sol completely disappeared from the media. In one of Mike’s books titled Undisputed Truth, he wrote that his then-girlfriend wasn’t even able to watch after her other kid Miguel after Exodus’ untimely demise. Who knows, maybe Xochitl might still be experiencing pain and trauma.
On the other hand, Iron Mike, as said before, started consuming cocaine. But now he only smokes weed and even started his own business in the weed industry. Similarly, on June 6, 2009, he exchanged vows with Lakiha Spicer, just a little more than a week after Exodus passed away.
The members of Tyson’s family also said his current wife has helped him to come out of the darkness and ease the pain. The beautiful duo also shares two kids together Milan and Morocco.
