It has been reported that Jordan Knight and his spouse Evelyn Melendez first met in the mid-1990s. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Dante Jordan four years before their wedding on August 25, 1999.
After becoming a father, Knight had trouble juggling between his pop career and parental duties. In the meantime, the singer also had a bad drinking habit. He told that his then-girlfriend Evelyn strongly supported him and he was able to quit his addiction. He said,
