His crimes came to light after confession by his sister-in-law Rosy in 1997. Rosy could not let such a criminal perpetrator walk free, so she disclosed a long-held secret for the world to see. Marin started by sexually abusing and molesting his sister-in-law Rosy and later moved onto his own daughters.

Marin’s ex-wife Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash
Sadly, just as the Rivera family was healing from Marin’s crime, a tragedy fell upon them. Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash on December 9, 2012. The illustrious Oprah of Mexico is no more. She was heading for the concert in Monterrey, Mexico with five other passengers and two crew members (they found all dead) when the accident occurred.
After post investigations, it was declared that probable cause for the crash was, ”Loss of control of aircraft for undetermined reasons. ”
