Khatira and her now-husband Michael Ealy first crossed paths in the late 2000s. They haven’t talked much about how they became friends and started dating. However, on the 16th of February 2021, Khatira went on to disclose she went on a first date with her husband 13 years back i.e. 2008.

The lovebirds continued their romance for four more years before they finally decided to walk down the aisle. As per the record, Khatira and Michael tied the knot on October 20, 2012, at a private wedding. In fact, only six people were in attendance at their LA wedding.
The two kept their marriage for over a month after their wedding. Finally, Michael’s representative revealed the big news to the People in December 2012. The rep said:

Rafiqzada has welcomed two children with her husband Michael. The happily married couple gave birth to their first child, a son named Elijah Rakim in early 2014. Michael announced the arrival of his first child during his appearance on Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show in February 2014.
The revelation unfolded like this: Harvey asked Michael “You’ve been married for about a year now, right? You see kids in the future?” To which the actor replied, “We have a son.”
