Not many of you might be aware of the fact that Park’s hubby, Wesley Snipes has served in prison for tax evasion. He along with Douglas P. Rosile and Eddie Ray Kahn was charged with one count of conspiring to defraud the US. They were also charged with one count of knowingly making or aiding and abetting the making of a false and fraudulent claim for payment against the US.

Besides, Snipes was separately charged with six counts of willfully failing to file federal income tax returns by their filing dates. The US government alleged Snipes of trying to get fraudulent tax refunds using “861 argument” also known as a tax protester theory.

Snipes was ultimately acquitted on the felony count of conspiracy to defraud the government and one felony count of filing a false claim with the government. However, he was proven guilty of willfully failing to file federal income tax returns. After that in April, Snipes was given a sentence of three years in prison.

He served at the federal prison in Pennsylvania, McKean Federal Correctional Institution from December 9, 2010, to April 2, 2013.

Meanwhile, Douglas was sentenced to four and a half years while Kahn was given imprisonment of ten years.
